For our founder, Aimee, a love of design and décor has always been there.
She has long believed that the spaces we live in should feel personal—not perfectly matched or pulled from a single catalog, but layered with pieces that mean something. Old mixed with new. Beautiful things alongside practical ones. Objects collected because they caught your eye, reminded you of somewhere you’ve been, or simply made you happy.
Runner Duck is the opportunity to follow that passion for design and décor and share it with others—through a collection that is constantly evolving, just like the homes we live in.
Why the Name?
The name Runner Duck is a nod to the actual Runner Duck—a wonderfully distinctive breed known for standing tall and moving through the world with an unmistakable sense of personality.
Aimee liked that.
Runner Duck felt a little unexpected, a little charming, and not too serious—much like the homes we love most.
That spirit feels a lot like what we hope you’ll find at Runner Duck. We’re drawn to pieces that have personality—the slightly unusual, the beautifully imperfect, and the things you may not have been looking for but suddenly can’t imagine leaving behind.
The name is meant to feel charming and memorable without taking itself too seriously. Because while we care deeply about beautiful homes and thoughtful design, we also believe decorating should be fun.
And, quite simply, Aimee really loves ducks.
The Beauty of the Find
We’re drawn to pieces with character—the ones that feel a little different from everything else.
Many of our vintage and antique finds are one of a kind. They may show their age through patina, wear, imperfections, or signs of a life lived before they reached us. We think that’s part of what makes them beautiful.
Alongside those older finds, we choose new pieces with the same philosophy: things that feel timeless, useful, interesting, and worthy of living with for years.
It’s less about filling a room and more about finding the pieces that make it yours.

Runner Duck is a woman-owned small business based in Aurora, Colorado, with a brick-and-mortar shop and an online collection that allows us to share our finds far beyond Colorado.
Whether you discover us while wandering into the shop or from your sofa hundreds of miles away, we hope Runner Duck feels like a place worth returning to—a place where there is always something new to discover.
Because we don’t believe a home is ever really finished. There’s always another story to add.
