Description

A piece of history with endless possibilities for the things you've collected along the way.

Originally used by printers to organize individual pieces of metal type, these authentic antique wooden printer's trays have found a beautiful second life as displays for miniature treasures and meaningful objects. Each tray features a collection of small compartments in varying shapes and sizes, creating an interesting architectural pattern that's as beautiful empty as it is filled.

The richly aged wood, worn edges, and wonderfully imperfect finish speak to years of use in a working print shop. No two trays are exactly alike, making each one a distinctive piece of history with its own character.

Hang one on a wall as a piece of sculptural art, or fill the compartments with tiny keepsakes, found objects, and curiosities gathered over time. Whether styled with miniature pottery, seashells, old keys, or little brass figures, the possibilities are nearly endless.

Styling Notes

These are some of our favorite pieces for creating a truly personal wall display. Rather than filling every compartment, leave a few empty and tuck small treasures into others—a tiny ceramic ghost, an old key, a miniature brass animal, a seashell from a favorite trip, or a little piece of pottery.

For a more traditional look, hang one above a writing desk or console and fill it with vintage sewing notions, old coins, miniature books, and other collected curiosities.

We also love grouping several trays in different sizes and orientations to create an unexpected gallery wall. Their aged wood brings warmth and texture, while the little compartments invite people to come closer and discover what's inside.
